A Huber Heights police dispatcher helped a couple deliver their baby over the phone after receiving a 911 call from them reporting that the mother’s water broke and she couldn’t make it to the car.

The Riverside family called 911 Saturday morning about five minutes after the woman’s water broke.
While waiting on police and medics to arrive, the dispatcher who took the family’s call stayed on the phone and talked them through the delivery of their child.

While the dispatcher was on the phone with the father, the mother began delivering the baby in the home, according to the 911 call.
The dispatcher began instructing the man to get clean towels to keep the baby warm, and telling him to clean out the infant’s nose and mouth.

“Is it a boy or a girl?” the dispatcher asked.
The dispatcher remained on the phone with the father until the medics were right by the family’s side in the home.
The dispatcher congratulated the new parents and continued checking on the mother’s and baby girl’s condition during the call.
