UPDATE @ 12 a.m: The driver of a Peterbilt semi suffered a medical condition which caused a crash on eastbound I-70 between state routes 72 and 41 Sunday night, according to a press release.

Jonathan Lewis, 55, of Moore, Okla., was traveling west on I-70 around 8 p.m. when he suffered a medical condition that caused him to drive off the left side of the roadway, strike a median cable barrier, cross the median into the eastbound lanes, and drive off the left side of the roadway where he struck a tree.
Lewis was treated at the scene by EMS personnel, the release stated.
The crash closed eastbound I-70 for approximately two-and-a-half hours.
The crash remains under investigation.
The Ohio Highway State Patrol, Springfield Post, was assisted at the scene by the Springfield Township Fire and EMS.
UPDATE @ 10:50 p.m.:
The Clark County HAZMAT team (Hazardous Materials Response Unit) is currently on scene.
Two eastbound lanes on I-70 are now open.
The cause of the crash is still unknown.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol Post in Springfield is reporting the eastbound lanes on I-70 between state routes 72 and 41 have been shut down following a crash involving a semi-trailer.
According to reports, traffic in the area is backed up for several miles. OHGO, the Ohio Department of Transportation’s real-time traffic site, reports the road as being closed.
