5 transported to hospitals after striking utility pole in Washington Twp.

WASHINGTON TWP. — UPDATE @ 9:42 a.m.: Five people were injured Friday night after a Honda sedan struck a utility pole on Social Row Road near Waterbury Ridge Lane.

According to a press release, the driver and four juveniles were transported to local hospitals.

A male was transported to Miami Valley Hospital by a medic. His condition was not known, according to Montgomery County Regional Dispatch.

One juvenile was taken to Dayton Children’s Hospital in critical condition, according to dispatch.

No information about the other’s conditions were released.

The 2017 sedan was traveling west on Social Row, went off the side of the road, rolled over and struck the pole while airborne.

The accident remains under investigation.

INITIAL REPORT: All lanes of Social Row Road at Paragon Road are shut down due to an accident Friday evening involving a vehicle into a telephone pole.

Several medics were dispatched to scene shortly after 11 p.m.

The vehicle reportedly rolled on its side after hitting the pole and started smoking, according to Montgomery County Regional Dispatch.

We are working to learn the condition of the driver and if anyone else was inside the vehicle.
