Jackeem Collins, 18, of Mason has been indicted on two counts of murder, eight counts of felonious assault and one count of discharge of a firearm on or near prohibited premises, according to a release from the Montgomery County prosecutor’s office.

Collins allegedly shot a firearm into a group of juveniles Feb. 16, killing Qua’lek Shelton near the intersection of Catalpa Drive and Sunnyview Avenue.
He was in a vehicle while he fired shots into the group of people that killed one and injured another.
Collins is currently in the Montgomery County Jail and is being held on a $1,000,000 bond.
His arraignment is scheduled for March 10 at 8:30 a.m.
