Can Ohioans with CCW permits carry a concealed weapon while wearing a mask?

OHIO — Many Ohioans are choosing to wear masks and in some cities it is now mandated, leaving those with concealed carry permits wondering if carrying a concealed weapon is legal while covering their face.

Concealed carry laws in Ohio do not prohibit a citizen from carrying concealed firearm while wearing a mask, Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost said.

The person carrying must carry their concealed carry license and abide by all Ohio concealed carry laws.

Confusion seems to have stemmed from rumors and misinformation on social media, the Ohio Attorney General said.
