NEW CARLISLE — Law enforcement arrested a suspect after he reportedly crashed into a New Carlisle home and attempted to flee the scene.

OSP troopers were called around 8 p.m. to a report of a vehicle that had struck a home on Hartley Ave.

The car that had hit the home had then fled the scene.

A Clark County Deputy located the suspect vehicle in the middle of the street a few houses down from the crash scene.

The driver, Tony Tracey, 43 of New Carlisle, was determined to be impaired and fought with law enforcement while he was being arrested.

The home that was crashed into was occupied but no one inside the house was injured.

Tracey has a prior conviction of leaving the scene of an accident after he struck a pedestrian in April of this year.
