The dining room will remain open.

FIRST REPORT

Troy police said a medical condition caused a driver to crash into a Wendy’s Friday morning.

Police said the 26-year-old woman from Houston in Shelby County became ill, got confused, lost control of her SUV and crashed into the Wendy’s on Archer Drive off Ohio 55. Witnesses told police she ran a red light narrowly striking a school bus.

The driver was taken to Upper Valley Medical Center.

The woman was on her way to work at a nearby daycare center at the time of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
