COLUMBUS — UPDATE:
The Columbus Zoo has found the missing red panda.
Kora was found by two guests among the dense foliage between the rhino habitat and the entrance of the Pachyderm Building in the Zoo’s Asia Quest region.
According to the Facebook post, the panda climbed up a tree and the care team tried to coax her down with treats and her vocalizing cubs.
Due to incoming rain, the team decided to tranquilize her and catch her after she fell asleep.
Kora is safe and sound in her habitat in Asia Quest.

A red panda at the Columbus Zoo is missing from her habitat. according to the Zoo’s facebook page.
The animal was last seen the evening of Tuesday, July 21, in her Asia Quest habitat.
Animal Care staff have been conducting an extensive search in and around the animal’s habitat and throughout the Zoo. Surrounding animals have been brought indoors so their habitats can be searched.
The animal does not present a threat to the public.
The Animal Care team believes she’s likely close by and may return on her own.
