DAYTON — The non-profit Accelerator for America announced today it will provide funding and technical assistance to 10 communities nationwide, one of them being Dayton.

The city of Dayton will receive $50,000 to help stand up the infrastructure needed to administer a large-scale financial assistance program for residents whose livelihoods have been hard-hit by the COVID-19 pandemic.
With resources and expertise from Mastercard, Accelerator for America will work alongside city officials to get the program fully operational.
The initiative is supported by a $750,000 grant from the Open Society Foundations.
