DAYTON — Public Health - Dayton and Montgomery County announced Friday morning that its cancelling a planned COVID-19 pop-up testing day on Monday so it can reassess its testing procedures to ensure that results will be given in a timely manner and to better improve its testing results notification process.
The testing was scheduled to take place at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds on August 3.

The announcement comes a day after a Huber Heights man told News Center 7 he received negative test results in the mail, but never took the test he had signed up for at a recent pop-up test site at Rose Music Center.
“We want to make sure the process of notification is reviewed again, and updated if needed, before we proceed with another location,” said Public Health spokesman Dan Suffoletto. “In addition, we want to make sure we can receive the results from the lab in a timely manner.”
Officials with Public Health - Dayton and Montgomery County said it apologizes for the inconvenience and it working with partners to provide a new round of testing opportunities in the near future.
