DAYTON — Dayton fire crews put out a fully engulfed house fire on 40 block of South Garfield Street in Dayton early Sunday morning.
District Fire Chief Mike Fasnacht described arriving at the scene which damaged two other houses on either side of the building.
“We arrived at a well-involved structure fire with smoke coming out of both sides of the building," Chief Fasnacht said.
Fire crews were able to contain the fire and prevent further damage to the neighboring houses.
According to Cheif Fasnacht, the occupants of the damaged two houses made it out safely, however it is unknown at this time if the inflamed house had an occupant inside at the time of the fire.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
What remains of the house has been scheduled for an emergency demolition as a precaution.

Crews are responding to the report of an active structure fire on South Garfield Street in Dayton.
According to reports, crews were dispatched at around 6 a.m. Sunday.

There are no reports of injuries at this time.
