$54K of semi tires stolen from Kenworth of Dayton; theft ring may be to blame, police say

HUBER HEIGHTS — A theft ring traveling across the country stealing semi-truck tires and wheels is possibly behind the theft last month of more than $54,000 worth of tires from Kenworth of Dayton.

Huber Heights police said surveillance video shows at least two people used a white box truck to haul the 84 tires stolen Dec. 22 from the business at 7740 Centerpoint 70 Blvd.

The truck had the word “Sunrise” written on one side.

“It is suspected that there were multiple suspects with specialized tools who were traveling across the country hitting multiple locations,” Huber Heights police posted on social media. “If anyone has information about the crime or the suspects please contact our detectives at 937-233-1565.”
