3 arrested after iPad Air 2 taken in robbery

Three suspects were arrested after a man reported being assaulted and robbed in an alley by the first block of North Jefferson Street in Dayton.

The suspects — Katrina Smith, 20, Cheyrone Anderson, 20, Mikhael Jones Martin, 18 — are being held in the Montgomery County Jail on suspicion of aggravated robbery after their arrests early Friday morning.

The victim told police he was walking a friend home when they were approached by three people, one of whom asked for a cigarette, according to the Dayton police report.

The trio started walking with the victim and pushed him down, taking his Apple iPad Air 2 tablet before running away, according to the report.

The victim told police he chased after them but one pulled a knife on him and he was pushed down a second time, according to the report.

Police said the suspects were spotted by a sergeant as they were walking along West Monument Avenue.

Once detained, the victim identified all three as the culprits, according to the report.
