1 of 2 arrested after 17-year-old shot in Dayton pleads not guilty

One of two men arrested after a 17-year-old boy was shot in the head near an RTA hub in Dayton appeared in court today.

Sean Walker, 20, pleaded not guilty to a felony charge of carrying a concealed weapon in connection to the Oct. 4 shooting. Police said Walker was not the shooter.

Police arrested Walker, of West Carrollton, and Joshua Hardy, 19, of Kettering, a short time after the shooting of Tyrese Ramsey. The teen survived his injury.

Hardy was indicted for felonious assault with a firearm specification in the shooting.

Walker and Hardy also are accused of an Oct. 4 robbery at Wright State University reported a few hours before the shooting in downtown Dayton. WSU campus police said the pair held up someone in a dorm room.

Walker faces a robbery charge in Greene County, and Hardy is jailed in Greene County. He is scheduled to be arraigned Nov. 9 in Montgomery County.
