Body found may be of missing Ohio woman

The discovery of remains may have brought to an end the search for a 20-year-old woman who went missing Tuesday evening in Fulton County, Ohio.

Investigators believe the body of Sierah Joughin, of Metamora, was found around 6 p.m. Friday, according to a report from the Toledo Blade.

A positive identification of the body is pending as an autopsy is set to be performed by the Lucas County Coroner’s Office, according to the Blade’s report.

Authorities have charged 57-year-old James D. Worley in the case. Worley lives five miles from where the woman’s bicycle was found. The search for Joughin was focused in and around the suspect’s property, according to the Blade.

National and state law enforcement agencies are asking the public to help in the search for a missing Ohio woman.

Sierah Joughin, 20, of Metamora, in Fulton County, was last seen riding her bicycle Tuesday evening near Evergreen High School on County Road 6, according to a statement issued by Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine’s office Friday night.

Police have located her bicycle on the same road she was last seen.

Also Friday, James Worley, 57, was arrested and is being detained on a charge of abduction in her disappearance, according to DeWine’s office, but Joughin remains missing.

Authorities are interested in speaking with anyone who may have seen a motorcyclist wearing a black open-faced, no-shield helmet riding in Fulton County on County Road 6 near County Road T and/or County Road S between 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. on July 19.

An anonymous donor is offering a $100,000 reward for information leading to Joughin’s location.
