New Lebanon man acquitted in child rape case

A jury has found Otis Marshall not guilty of all charges Thursday, Nov. 21.

UPDATE @ 7:15 p.m. (April 15):

The 53-year-old New Lebanon man arrested over a week ago has been indicted.

Otis Marshall was indicted on two counts of rape under 13, kidnapping and disseminating matter harmful to juveniles, court records show.

Police say the victim is known to the suspect, and that the case is still under investigation.

FIRST REPORT:

A 53-year-old New Lebanon man was arrested Saturday evening and booked into the Montgomery County Jail on suspicion of rape of a child younger than 13.

Otis Terrance Marshall’s bond is $250,000. He is due in court Monday in the county municipal court’s western division in New Lebanon, online jail records show.

A warrant for Marshall’s arrest was issued March 15 for the incident alleged to have happened Jan. 4 in Trotwood, according to online Montgomery County court documents.

Marshall was featured in News Center 7 anchor Cheryl McHenry's Miami Valley's Most Wanted for the last two Thursdays.
