Dorian A. Barnhart, 24, of Washington Twp., shown above at left, and Jason B. Churchill, 31, of West Carrollton, are charged with two counts each of aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary and felonious assault. All charges carry a three-year firearm specification, according to a Montgomery County grand jury report.

West Carrollton police and medics were called around 12:05 a.m. Jan. 7 to a residence on Thunderbird Lane in the Indian Creek Condominiums.

Detective Scott Lawson said the two assault victims were with another man inside the condo, drinking beer, smoking marijuana and playing Xbox. Around midnight, the other man said he was going to get more beer. He was gone less than a minute when he returned with four other males, all wearing bandannas over their faces and carrying guns, according to Lawson’s statement filed in Miamisburg Municipal Court.

The suspects left the residence with money, drugs and the Xbox they were playing, the detective stated.

The two victims were struck in the head with the handguns and suffered other injuries. They were treated at the Sycamore Medical Center emergency room.

Barnhart has been jailed since Jan. 15, and Churchill since the afternoon of Jan. 7, online Montgomery County Jail records show.

They are the only two suspects charged in the case, and both are scheduled to be arraigned Thursday.
