DAYTON — A man facing murder charges in connection to two shootings outside a Dayton jazz club and supermarket has been captured.
Christopher Smith was charged with murder and felonious assault charges in the deaths of 33-year-olds Clarence Brown and Brandon Harris, according to court records.

Smith was taken into custody by the FBI Atlanta’s Violent Crimes Task Force, according to Dayton police.
He was captured Sunday in Stockbridge, Georgia, according to the FBI.
“You can run but … FBI Atlanta helps out law enforcement partners with arrest of suspect in double murder,” FBI Atlanta posted on Twitter.

Both shootings took place hours apart on Dec. 5 and within about 100 feet of each other.
The first shooting took place around 3 a.m. outside Rick’s Jazz Club on Lakeview Avenue.
Smith reportedly shot Harris and William Earnest with a .40 caliber handgun, killing Harris and injuring Earnest.

Nearly eight hours later, around 10:30 a.m., Smith allegedly shot Brown in front of the Save Food Super Market on Germantown Street, according to court records.
Brown was taken to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The shootings reportedly took place in front of multiple witnesses, with most of the incidents caught on surveillance cameras, according to court documents.
