Dayton man sentenced in child rape case

Danny Moore was sentenced Wednesday to a mandatory six years in prison on five counts, including rape.

An arrest warrant was issued for a Dayton man charged in a child rape case.

Danny L. Moore Jr., 36, was indicted for rape of a child younger than 13; gross sexual imposition involving a child younger than 13; soliciting; and six counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, according to a Montgomery County grand jury report.

Moore’s accusers are both known to Moore, who county prosecutors said offered money in exchange for sexual acts. The Dayton case spans from Jan. 11, 2012, to Aug. 15, 2015, authorities said.
