DAYTON — A 44-year-old Dayton man was convicted Wednesday in federal court of two meth-related crimes
Jason Rosales was found guilty of conspiracy to possess and attempt to possess with intent to distribute more than 500 grams of methamphetamine on Valentine’s Day of last year, according to a release from Benjamin C. Glassman, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Ohio.

According to court documents and testimony, Rosales conspired to and attempted to possess nearly 4, 500 grams of pure “crystal meth,” or “ice.”
A drug task force in Kansas City intercepted a drug courier Feb. 13, 2017, at a Greyhound bus station who had 10 bundles of crystal meth hidden in a duffel bag and was headed to Springfield, Ohio, according to the release.

The Drug Enforcement Agency orchestrated a controlled deliver to Rosales in Dayton. He was arrested Feb. 14, 2017, and has remained behind bars ever since at the Montgomery County Jail.
Rosales was convicted by a jury following an eight-day trial before U.S. District Judge Walter H. Rice.
