VEVAY, Indiana — A 42-year-old Dayton man is jailed in Switzerland County, Indiana, following an investigation into a child sex case last month that led to a high-speed chase and crash.

Officers with the Switzerland County Sheriff’s Office and Indiana State Police were investigating illegal social media communication with a juvenile girl on Sept. 12 when they found and approached Jason E. Jarvis in Vevay, Indiana, Sheriff Brian L. Morton stated in a release issued Wednesday.
