Dayton men plead not guilty in Boost Mobile robbery

DAYTON — UPDATED @ 12 p.m. (Oct. 23):

Two men pleaded not guilty Tuesday to charges related to an armed robbery at a Dayton Boost Mobile.

L’Dontae Head, 18, and Mar’Quice Murray, 20, are both facing a robbery charge, according to Montgomery County Common Pleas Court records.

Head was also charged with resisting arrest and obstructing official business.

He was released on his own recognizance with a monitoring device.

Bond for Murray was set at $25,000.

INITIAL REPORT:

Two Dayton men are charged in an armed robbery at earlier this month at a Boost Mobile store in the city.

L’Dontae J. Head, 18, and Mar’Quice A. Murray, 20, were indicted Friday in connection to the Oct. 10 robbery at the cellphone store, 3145 Salem Ave., in Dayton.

Both are charged with robbery, and Head also faces misdemeanor charges of resisting arrest and obstructing official business, Montgomery County court records show.

Murray was arrested at the store and Head was arrested on Piccadilly Avenue, not far from the store, after a brief foot chase.

Police said they recovered a handgun and two masks used in the robbery.

Head and Murray are in the Montgomery County Jail, where they have been held without bond since their Oct. 10 arrest. They are due in court Tuesday for arraignment.
