Pierre Blackford was indicted Thursday for failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer, according to a Montgomery County grand jury report.

Dayton police Sgt. Thomas Schloss said last month that officers initiated the April 17 pursuit after they were unable to pull over Blackford, and that the silver Chrysler 300 he was driving was listed as a “failure to comply vehicle with a named suspect.”

“Dayton Police Department has attempted to stop him numerous times and he’s ran,” Schloss said.

Blackford is no longer in custody and is ordered to appear May 23 for arraignment in Montgomery County Common Pleas Court.
