Inmate who escaped Possum Creek MetroPark work detail indicted

DAYTON — A woman inmate who walked away from a work detail this summer was indicted Friday on a felony escape charge.

April Lynn Baltes, 38, will be arraigned Tuesday in Montgomery County Common Pleas Court.

Baltes is accused of walking away July 22 from a work detail at the Possum Creek MetroPark off Shank Road in Jefferson Twp.

She was an inmate in the Secure Transitional Offender Program, a drug and alcohol intervention program through Montgomery County Common Pleas Court, at the time of her escape.

She is now held in the Montgomery County Jail.
