Kettering men accused of rape involving child

KETTERING — Two Kettering men accused of raping a child for over a year were indicted on multiple sex charges, according to court records.

Todd E. Marshall Jr., 26, is facing multiple counts of rape of a person younger than 13.

Jason E. Purkey, 45, was charged with rape (by force or threat) and having weapons while under disability.

The couple performed sex acts with the victim at their residence in the 900 block of East Dorothy Lane, according to Kettering Municipal Court affidavits.

The crimes said to involve Marshall took place from Jan. 1, 2015, through March 31, 2019, starting when his accuser was 10, the affidavit said.

The crimes for which Purkey is accused reportedly happened from Jan. 1, 2018, to May 31, 2019.

Both also were charged with disseminating matter harmful to juveniles.

The accuser is known to the suspects, according to the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office.

Purkey and Marshall are scheduled to appear Tuesday in Montgomery County Common Pleas Court.
