Lebanon man faces child porn charges after allegedly sharing images with Texas detective

LEBANON — A 34-year-old Lebanon man accused of sharing photos of young girls with an undercover Texas detective is facing child pornography charges.

Jimmy Ray Smith was charged with three counts of sexual battery, three counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented materials and two counts of endangering children, according to the Montgomery County Constable’s Office in Texas.

Smith reportedly sent the images to an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children detective and is facing further charges in Montgomery County, Texas.

On March 12, Smith reached out to the detective and said he has access to two girls, both younger than 10, before sending images of the girls, according to the constable’s office.

With help from the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office Human Trafficking Task Force in Texas, the detective contacted Lebanon police about the images.

Lebanon police said during an interview that Smith admitted that he sent the images to the undercover officer in Texas and confirmed that he had access to the two girls, according to the constable’s office.

He was arrested and is being held in Warren County.
