Man accused of hiding in bathroom after robbery in Valero parking lot indicted

A 20-year-old Englewood man accused of hiding in the bathroom of a Valero station after a robbery now faces formal charges.

Simon Jason Denby Jr. was indicted Thursday by a Montgomery County grand jury for aggravated robbery and tampering with evidence. The robbery charge carries a three-year firearm specification.

He is accused of robbing a man at gunpoint Sept. 17 in the parking lot of a Valero gas station, 2800 Philadelphia Drive in Harrison Twp.

According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Denby was found hiding inside a bathroom at the station.

He is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday in Montgomery County Common Pleas Court.
