DAYTON — A Huber Heights man accused of using social media to try and lure a 12-year-old girl for sex has been sentenced to 36 months in jail.
Anthony W. Tabor, 39, was convicted of one count of importuning on Jan. 23, according to Montgomery County court records.
A second count was dismissed.
Tabor was sentenced on Jan. 31.
He was also ordered to register as a Tier 1 sex offender.
Tier 1 is the lowest level, and offenders must register their address every year for 15 years.
Tabor created two fake Instagram accounts to contact the girl and offered to engage in sexual activity with her, according to police.
The girl agreed to meet Tabor at her home, where police were waiting to arrest him.
