Brian Lamar Wilson Jr. will be arraigned Tuesday in Montgomery County Common Pleas Court.

He was arrested the night of Independence Day after he was involved in a pursuit with West Carrollton police officers while driving a stolen pickup truck.

Police said Wilson was driving at a high rate of speed and would not pull over for a traffic stop, and then drove through a traffic barrier — a metal road closed sign with cones — and drove onto North Alex Road. Police estimated that several hundred people had gathered in that area to watch Moraine’s Star Spangled Boom fireworks show, launched from Wax Park across the Great Miami River from West Carrollton.

Wilson was indicted Friday for felonious assault; failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer; grand theft of a motor vehicle; trespass in a habitation, all felonies; and misdemeanor failure to stop after an accident, according to a Montgomery County grand jury report.

He is in the Montgomery County Jail, where he has been held since his July 4 arrest.
