Terence S. Furlow Jr. is in the Darke County Jail on unrelated charges. His arraignment for failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer is scheduled for Feb. 6 in Montgomery County Common Pleas Court, documents show.

Furlow is accused of not pulling over Dec. 20, 2019, for an Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper for allegedly driving erratically at Needmore and Wagner Ford roads in Harrison Twp.

The trooper chased Furlow north in Interstate 75, east on Interstate 70 and then on Brandt Pike. The pursuit went through Huber Heights, including through several yards.

At one point, troopers said Furlow drove over tire deflation devices that burst at least one tire. The vehicle was damaged further after striking a curb and then began dragging the ground.

The pursuit then came down Brandt Pike, back onto Needmore Road and ended when troopers said Furlow came to a stop on Webster Street, where he was taken into custody.

Records showed Furlow had several warrants for his arrest.
