Another Dollar General store in Dayton was robbed last Friday, two days after a man was shot and killed by a clerk when he attempted to rob a different Dollar General in the city.

Police were called just before 9:30 p.m. to the Dollar General at 455 Salem Ave. in Dayton.

A man wearing all black and armed with a gun entered the store and at some point put a blue scarf or bandanna over his face before the robbery.
He took an undetermined amount of money and left on foot in an unknown direction.

No shots were fired and no injuries were reported.

On Wednesday evening, a Dollar General clerk fatally shot an armed robber later identified as 23-year-old Roosevelt Rappley of Dayton, who demanded cash from the store at 2228 N. Gettysburg Ave. in Dayton, Sgt. Thomas Schloss said.
The clerk said he shot the robber in self-defense.
Both incidents remain under investigation.
