Newborn tests positive for cocaine at Dayton hospital

DAYTON — A newborn tested positive for cocaine at Miami Valley Hospital.

Dayton police were called to the hospital shortly before 4 p.m. Monday to assist Montgomery County Children Services after the 2-day-old baby girl and her mother tested positive for cocaine.

The infant was transferred into the custody of children services.

No charges were filed against the mother.
