Police ask: Do you recognize suspects in robbery of Rite Aid in Dayton?

DAYTON — UPDATE @ 5:05 p.m.: Police have released photos of two men suspected of robbing the Rite Aid pharmacy earlier this afternoon.

The photos are taken from store surveillance cameras.

Dayton police have developed new details, which indicate a note handed to pharmacy workers demanded medication. The men indicate they were armed and they threatened to harm the employees, but no weapon was seen and no one was injured.

The suspects ran toward the back of the store when they left, police said.

Both are described as 18 to 20 years old, 5 feet 6 to 5 feet 8 inches tall and 150 to 160 pounds.

INITIAL REPORT

Robbers targeted the Rite Aid pharmacy this afternoon at 2916 Linden Ave. in Dayton.

Police were called shortly before 12:30 p.m. to a report of an armed robbery at the location.

According to initial reports, two males approached the pharmacy and handed a note that read, “give me everything or I’ll kill you” and threatened to shoot. No weapon was displayed.

The robbers drove off in a maroon Chrysler 200 that had no front license plate.

One robber is described as 20 to 25 years old, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and 160 pounds. He was wearing a white T-shirt and gray shorts. The second is described as 5 feet 6 inches inches tall and has tattoos on his arm. He was wearing a red hat and purple shirt.
