Police: OVI driver hits car, vacant building and Winans in Piqua

A 41-year-old Urbana woman crashed her car into a Winans coffee shop in Piqua.

The driver, whose name was not released, is suspected of drunken driving for the incident reported around 4:45 p.m., said Lt. Jerry Fogt of the Piqua Police Department.

The woman struck a vehicle, then a vacant former bank at the corner of Main and Ash streets before going around the corner and striking Winans Chocolates and Coffees, 310 Spring St., Fogt said.

There were no injuries, and the incident remains under investigation.

Fogt said that possible charges against the woman include OVI, reasonable control and a red-light violation.
