EATON — A 22-year-old woman convicted in June of of severely abusing her 4-month-old daughter who suffered a skull fracture, numerous brain bleeds and a collapsed lung, will be sentenced Tuesday morning.
Holly Gray-Lapple was found guilty on June 18 of felonious assault and two counts of endangering children in Preble County Common Pleas Court.
She previously was scheduled to be sentenced on July 9, but the hearing was postponed.

On Jan. 17, Gray-Lapple brought her infant daughter Ellie Alcorn to the Preble County Emergency Room reporting that Ellie had a seizure. She said the symptoms happened out-of-the blue and denied knowing what caused bruises on the child’s forehead and eyelids. Ellie was transferred to Dayton Children’s Hospital, where the baby was diagnosed with a skull fracture, multiple bruises on her brain, multiple brain bleeds, a collapsed lung and multiple unexplained bruises on her face and back, according to a release from Preble County Prosecutor Martin P. Votel.

Gray-Lapple faces a prison term between two and eight years for two of the charges and three years for the second endangering children count.
