Man shot by relative in Dayton during argument over video game, family says

Brothers-in-law were arguing about a video game Tuesday night when one man took out a gun and shot the other, family members said.

Dayton police and medics were called around 11:10 p.m. to a report of a shooting in the 600 block of Negley Place.

The victim, a man in his 20s, was taken to Miami Valley Hospital. He was suffering from a gunshot wound to the ankle that was “through and through” and not life-threatening, police said.

The shooter, described by family members as a man in his 40s, left the residence on foot.

A police K9 was trying to track the alleged shooter, but was unsuccessful in the search.
