Riverside man accused of child sex crimes

RIVERSIDE — A 57-year-old Riverside man is accused of sex crimes involving two children younger than 10.

Larry Wayne Lerma was indicted Friday on three counts of rape; two counts of abduction; one count of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles; and aggravated menacing.

Prosecutors said there are two children involved in the case and that they were known to the suspect. The incidents were alleged to have happened between Nov. 1, 2018, and Jan. 7.

Lerma will be arraigned Tuesday. He has been held in the Montgomery County Jail since his Feb. 21 arrest in Riverside.
