Evidence is being gathered in the case of a 16-year-old Kettering boy shot to death over the weekend.

Three juvenile male suspects — two ages 16 and one 14 — were ordered to be held in juvenile court until their next court hearing Sept. 27 in connection to the death of Ronnie Bowers.

Meanwhile, search warrant affidavits were filed at the homes of two of the juvenile suspects, both of whom live at an apartment complex on Brownleigh Road in Kettering.

A fourth suspect, Miles Heizer, has been released pending further investigation.

The two 16-year-old male suspects have no prior criminal history with juvenile court, according to the juvenile court administrator.

For the 14-year-old suspect, a criminal record with juvenile court stems back to 2014.

This news organization is not identifying the juveniles by name at this time.

The 14-year-old in February 2014 was convicted in a criminal damaging case in Dayton. He was referred to the drug court program. During the same month, the boy was convicted of truancy and sentenced to a work program, according to court records.

In October 2015, the youngest juvenile suspect was convicted again of truancy and sentenced to a work program, according to court records.

In January of this year, the Kettering teen was ordered to appear in the juvenile drug court in connection to a criminal mischief case. In February of this year, the teen admitted to possession of marijuana and ordered to continue in drug court, according to court records.
