Sheriff seeks public’s help to find 16-year-old ‘person of interest’ in Ohio Dominican football player’s death

A 16-year-old boy was named this evening as a person of interest in the shooting death of an 18-year-old Ohio Dominican football player, and now the Montgomery County sheriff is asking for the public’s help to find him.

No charges have been approved for the teenager identified as Jayden Kurrek; however, he is entered as a missing juvenile through the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and also has a robbery warrant through Montgomery County Juvenile Court in which a handgun was used, Sheriff Rob Streck said.

Jonte Tinsley, 18, died following the shooting that happened June 9  in the 4100 block of Daleview Avenue in Harrison Twp.

According to the sheriff, Kurrek stands 5 feet, 7 inches, weighs 150 pounds with brown hair and eyes. Anyone with information is urged to contact dispatch at 937-225-4357 or Miami Valley Crime Stoppers at 937-225-STOP (7867).
