Suspect arrested in Waffle House menu robbery

Ryan Huffman was charged with robbery in connection to the incident at Waffle House on Aug. 18.

FIRST REPORT:

Two men unsuccessfully attempted to rob a Waffle House in Huber Heights Tuesday morning.

Officers were dispatched shortly after 4 a.m. to the restaurant at 5600 Executive Boulevard in Huber Heights after employees reported the attempted robbery.

Police said the one of the robbers displayed a handgun, but fled the store without any cash. Workers reported the only item taken was a restaurant menu.

Officers said the two fled into a blue or black Mercury car driven by a woman and were able to flee the area before officers arrived.

No injuries were reported in the incident and it remains under investigation by Huber Heights Police.
