Three teens sentenced to 9 years in AT&T armed robbery

DAYTON — Three teens were convicted and sentenced for in the armed robbery of a Huber Heights AT&T store.

Skyver Palmer, 17; Taevon Felton, 18; and Danell Robinson, 16; were all sentenced to nine years in prison, according to the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office.

Palmer and Robinson were convicted of two counts of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon and one count of kidnapping.

Felton was convicted of two counts of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon and one count each of kidnapping and improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle.

Caleb Johnson, 19, and Damion Raglin, 18, were also found guilty of aggravated robbery, kidnapping and improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle, according to court documents.

Johnson will be sentenced Feb. 20. and Raglin will be sentenced Jan. 30.

On Feb. 1, a group of teens reportedly robbed an Old Troy Pike AT&T store.

The teens were armed with rifles and handguns and threatened store employees and customers, according to the prosecutor’s office.

They then fled the store in an SUV, eventually crashing into another vehicle and striking a parked car.

Once the SUV came to a stop, the teens fled on foot, according to the prosecutor’s office.

Law enforcement officers from Huber Heights, Riverside, Dayton and Butler Twp. responded and arrested seven suspects.

Six of the seven were juveniles at the time of the robbery. Five were transferred to adult court.

“We cannot allow juveniles to brazenly commit violent and armed robberies,” said Prosecutor Mat Heck Jr. “They will be held accountable and punished accordingly.”
