MIAMI TWP. — UPDATE @ 9:40 p.m.
Customers were inside Jared tonight when three masked men with hammers barged in.
“They had flat hammers and they busted the glass and they took diamonds out of our cases,” an employee who called 9-1-1 reported around 8 p.m. to the Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center.

The suspects were described as three males wearing hooded sweatshirts, ski masks and gloves. Two had a thin build and a third was heavy-set, according to 911 callers.
They were seen leaving with an unknown amount of diamonds in a black Chevrolet HHR with no license plates headed toward I-75, according to a report.
FIRST REPORT
A robbery was reported tonight at Jared jewelry store near the Dayton Mall.
Three men around 8 p.m. robbed the store at 2760 Miamisburg-Centerville Road.
The suspects used a hammer to smash the glass cases and took off with an undetermined number of diamonds, according to the Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center.
No injuries were reported.
