DAYTON — A 47-year-old Trotwood man was convicted Thursday in the July death of his 19-year-old girlfriend.

Christopher Lee Daye pleaded guilty to shooting and killing Iuanua Sneed, according to the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office.
First responders found Sneed’s body in the early morning hours of July 6 at Daye’s home following an anonymous 911 call.

Daye was found guilty of: involuntary manslaughter, with a three-year firearm specification; tampering with evidence and tampering with evidence.
He faces a prison term of 14 to 17 years when he will be sentenced on Dec. 17.
