Man shot in hand through door during attempted robbery in Harrison Twp.

HARRISON TWP. — A man was shot in the hand during an attempted robbery, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were dispatched around 3:15 a.m. to a report of a shooting in the 1900 block of Palisades Drive, where they found a man who had been shot in the hand.

Three people tried to rob the man, who went back inside his apartment when one of the three suspects shot through the door, hitting the man’s hand, according to deputies.

All three suspects fled in an unknown direction. They were all described as wearing all black clothes.

A Huber Heights K9 unit was requested to the scene, which tracked the suspects south through the Creekside Townhomes to North Dixie Drive before ending the track.

The shooting remains under investigation by the Special Investigations Unit of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
