Woman accused of running human trafficking operation at Miami Twp. massage parlor

MIAMI TWP. — A woman deputies believe ran a human trafficking operation at a Miami Twp. massage parlor is awaiting a grand jury’s decision on whether she’ll face felony charges, deputies and prosecutors said.

The Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office is seeking an indictment for charges of promoting prostitution and possession of criminal tools against Li W. Corona, said Greg Flannagan, spokesman for the prosecutor’s office.

On Dec. 20, Corona and another woman were arrested after the woman reportedly tried to solicit an undercover police officer for sexual activity at Healthy Massage.

The woman was initially charged with soliciting and prostitution, but a Miamisburg Municipal Court judge dismissed the charges in March.

A human trafficking detective with the sheriff’s office said they believe the massage parlor was a human trafficking operation with multiple victims and that Corona was running it.

Investigators have spoken to customers, but don’t plan to file any charges against them.

However, the customers may be called as witnesses if the case goes to trial.

Corona’s case is expected to go before a grand jury within the next month, Flannagan said.

The detective also believes that the case is connected to Jin Massage, a massage parlor that used to be at the same location as Healthy Massage on Miamisburg-Centerville Road.

In 2016, a woman was arrested at Jin Massage on a prostitution-related charge. Prosecutor’s declined charges and the case was dropped.

Neither Jin Massage nor Healthy Massage were licensed with the state.

Healthy Massage was evicted from the business space last week, according to the detective.
