89-year-old Kettering man with Alzheimer’s is found; missing endangered alert canceled

KETTERING — UPDATE @ 11:30 p.m.

An 89-year-old Kettering man has been found, and the Endangered Missing Adult Alert is canceled.

FIRST REPORT

An 89-year-old Kettering man who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease is missing.

Donald J. Monnig is the subject of a statewide Endangered Missing Adult Alert.

He was last seen around noon when he left his home on foot in the 2000 block of Westlawn Drive in Kettering.

Monnig stands 5 feet, 7 inches and weighs 155 pounds, has thinning gray hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a gray sweatshirt.

Anyone who spots Monnig is urged to call 911, Kettering police dispatch at 937-296-2555 or the Ohio Attorney General Missing Persons Unit at 1-866-693-9171.
