FAIRBORN — A shooting involving teenagers in Fairborn Sunday afternoon has one person in the hospital and another in police custody, according to a Fairborn police spokesperson.

Officers were called to a house in the 300 block of East Whittier Avenue just before 3 p.m. Sunday on reports of a person shot inside the house, a department spokesperson said in a media release Monday.
The victim, identified as a 13-year-old girl, was taken to Dayton Children’s Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, according to police.
In 911 calls obtained in a News Center 7 public records request, callers described a chaotic, bloody scene saying a teenager was shot in the face.

“She was shot in her face. We just heard a loud bang and we all run downstairs and she’s bleeding out of her face. There’s a hole in her face. There’s blood everywhere,” a 911 caller said.
The caller reported other juveniles were over at the house before the shots were fired with several running from the house after the shooting.
The suspected shooter, identified as a 14-year-old boy, was later located and arrested by Fairborn officers, the spokesperson said. The suspect remains held in the Greene County Juvenile Detention Center. Police did not release the charges the arrested juvenile is facing and being held on.
The suspect and the victim knew each other and they were both in the house at the time of the shooting, according to police.
Police said a gun was located by Fairborn officers, but it is not known at this time it was the gun used during the incident.
