MORAINE — UPDATE @ 4:55 p.m. (Aug. 7): One of the two men arrested has been identified as Adam Daniel Sowards, 30, according to court documents filed in the case.
Sowards is being detained in the Montgomery County Jail on charges of inducing panic, unlawful possession of a dangerous ordnance, carrying a concealed weapon and an active warrant for obstructing official business.
UPDATE (Aug. 6):
Kettering officers found a suspected pipe bomb in a car after making a traffic stop in the Moraine Walmart parking lot Wednesday night, prompting a response from the Dayton Police Bomb Squad, a Kettering police official told News Center 7 Thursday.

Police initiated the traffic stop just after 8 p.m. and the driver pulled into the Walmart parking lot, Kettering police Lt. Lee Sanders said. The two people in the car, who police did not identify, were initially arrested on outstanding warrants.
“During an inventory search of the vehicle prior to towing it, a suspected pipe bomb was found and the Dayton Bomb Squad responded,” Sanders said.
“It was confirmed it was an explosive device.”
The bomb squad took the device to a different location and disabled it, Sanders said.
“In addition to their warrants, both subjects were charged with unlawful possession of a dangerous ordnance, carrying a concealed weapon and inducing panic,” Sanders said.
No injuries were reported. Additional details were not released. We’ll update this story as we learn more.
FIRST REPORT (Aug. 5):
Police towed a vehicle found containing a suspected explosive device from the Walmart Supercenter in Moraine early Thursday morning.
Moraine police and the Dayton Bomb Squad were called to the store Wednesday night after receiving reports of a suspected explosive device inside a vehicle parked in the parking lot.
