A protest was underway in Beavercreek at the intersection of North Fairfield Road and Pentagon Boulevard.
Police appeared to release tear gas on the protesters.
Officers later in the evening removed their tactical gear and took a knee in solidarity with those demonstrating.

Organizers held a protest tonight in Centerville starting at 6 p.m. at Stubbs Park on Spring Valley Pike, Centerville police said in a Facebook post Monday afternoon. The protest continued north on the sidewalk of South Main Street towards the main intersection in Centerville at South Main and Franklin streets.
The protest came as a collaboration by police and protesters. Police say they couldn’t have asked for it to go better.
