“He remains in critical condition,” Terrill said in a statement. “The surgery sounds complex. We are extremely concerned about the surgery.”

Ney, a 14-year veteran of the force, was critically injured after he was shot across the face July 12 while responding to a domestic violence incident in the 5900 block of state Route 48.

He was discharged from a rehabilitation facility July 29 but was readmitted to Miami Valley Hospital on August 17

Ney’s wife Lisa posted on social media Monday afternoon that Ney is out of surgery.

Lisa said he intubated and sedated.

She said Ney will have another scan Tuesday to decide with another surgery is needed on Thursday.

“Thank you all so much for continuing to pray and keep us in your thoughts,” She wrote.
